Step into a world where cliffs tell stories, rocks hold secrets, and the past is suddenly right in front of you. This family-friendly tour brings you face to face with the asteroid impact that caused the fifth mass extinction — the moment dinosaurs vanished and a new chapter of life began.
You’ll hear the dramatic tale of the asteroid that changed everything, told in a way that sparks curiosity for both kids and grown-ups.
We visit the cliff-top church that stood a little too close to the edge; in 1928, part of it — and several graves — slid into the sea. It’s a real-life, slightly spooky story that children always remember.
Down on the beach, we search for fossils from creatures that lived 66 million years ago. Tiny coccoliths are guaranteed, and lucky families might spot shark teeth, crocodile remains, or even traces of the mighty mosasaur.
At head height in the cliff, the thin, dark fish clay layer reveals the exact moment of the meteor impact. Here, you can stand right beside the boundary between two worlds — before and after the dinosaurs.
The tour becomes a mix of adventure, curiosity, and kid-friendly geology, with stories and discoveries that stay with your family long after.
“Enthusiastic and time-generous angled at 6 year old dinosaur enthusiast - "fish clay". Also good information as to local "head height" views of the fish clay layer which we found after a walk over the stones. Good comms and efficient booking process. Excellent stuff.”

This tour typically last 3 hours
We walk about 2.5 kilometer. About 500 meters is on a stone beach.
The beach has very uneven terrain, so you’ll need sturdy shoes and steady footing.
As your guide, I make Stevns Klint understandable and exciting for everyone — especially families with kids.
I bring the cliffs to life with photos, maps, and hands-on explanations that show you exactly what you’re looking at.
Children are met at their own level, included in the discoveries, and drawn into the big story of Earth’s history.
I don’t operate with fixed rates for private tours, because each experience is shaped to match your plans. The final price depends on things like
• the size of your group
• the distance and length of the tour
• whether you want refreshments or catering
• and whether you need help arranging transportation
After we’ve talked or exchanged messages about what you’re looking for, I’ll send you a written offer as quickly as possible, including a description of your custom tour and the total cost.
